Alright, so the public loves to play the favorites! As has been written many times, blindly jumping on the bandwagon of popular teams can be a bankroll destroyer. So, if that's the case, is there really an ATS angle that produces 72% winners when playing teams who come into week #3 of the NFL at 2-0? Well, let's take a look.

Over the course of time the NFL has produced and average of 7 teams each year who ride into the third week of the season a perfect 2-0. This season has done even better than that posting a total of 10 teams. History also tells us that almost a third (33%) of these teams will come out of this weekend with a loss. So if that is the case, how in the world to we grab the cash at a 72% clip?

Let's take a look at 2-0 teams this week who appear to have issues on defense. Although they have won thus far their defenses have not been all that stellar yielding over 15 points per game. In this situation it appears that the odds makers have not caught up to the fact that these teams in fact might be pretty darn good because their focus has been on the unbeaten teams who have shown to be good on the defensive side of the ball. Heck, how many times have you heard that you can't win championships without a good defense. So, before I bore you with more tidbits of information let's take a look at this awesome trend: Teams who come into week #3 of the NFL at 2-0 and have given up an average of more than 15 points per game in their first two contests are a sparkling 13-5 (72)ATS! The plays this week in this situation are : Detroit, Dallas, and San Francisco.
