The NFL Preseason is winding down and as it does the College Football season gets ready to swing into full gear starting with Thursday's round of games. By know all of the rankings have been published and the experts have weighed in on who will compete for the National Title. Well, it's now my time to take a quick sneak peak in the box and talk about the Big-12, C-USA, and Big-10. Although void of any outright predications the information below should help when considering opportunities as the season progresses. Big 12 This season is going to be more of the same as the South Division will come down to the matchup between Oklahoma and Texas on October 6th. The North Division will be a bit more tough to predict as you have three teams (Kansas State, Nebraska, and Missouri) all having a shot at the top spot. However, in my opinion, it's going to end up with Nebraska facing off against Texas in the Big-12 Championship game to see who will earn a BCS berth. Prediction: Texas in the BCS. C-USA This conference certainly is no contender to produce a National Title and this year a lot of the big named talent has left due to graduation. However, it still should produce some interesting football as Southern Miss and SMU still have marquee players in RB Damien Fletcher and QB Justin Willis respectively. Prediction: Southern Miss will win the conference once again and get itself in position to go bowling. Big-10 This conference is again loaded with top talent. Three teams are ranked high in the polls (Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio State) and more than likely will contend for the title. In November all these teams play each other which will go a long way in determining the Champion. Prediction: Michigan appears to be the best of the lot and will represent the Big-10 in the BCS at the end of the year.
