College Football Week #1 Key Trends and Predictions......

College Football has kicked off it's season and today brings the first full Saturday of action. It is that time of the year now to dust off all of those handicapping angles and trends so that we might put the odds in our favor to make it a profitable Saturday. Although there is more to handicapping than just trends and angles it is an important factor to indentify as it will allow you to hone in for further analysis on games that will bring you home the bacon. So, it is with that in mind that below I list some matchups today along with the key trends that warrant additional analysis:

Utah at Michigan

Utah is 3-0 ATS versus a Big-10 opponent while Michigan is 4-16 as favorites of more than 2 points in Game One of the season and 3-9 in their first of back to back home games. Prediction: Utah

Michigan State at California

Michigan State is 6-1 as non conference dogs while California is 4-1 ATS in game One, 0-5 at home before back to back road games and 1-5 before Washinbgton St. Prediction: Michigan State

Florida International at Kansas

Florida International is 1-5 in then first of back to back road games, 1-5 as dogs of greater than 24 points while Kansas is 4-0 as favorites of great than 21 points and 8-2 at home versus a non conference opponent. Prediction: Kansas

Akron at Wisconsin

Akron is 3-9 L12 as double digit road dogs and 1-3 as dogs in game one of the season while Wisconsin is 5-0 in game one, 5-1 versus the MAC, and 5-2 as a double digit non conference favorite. Prediction: Wisconsin
