The nation gets its first look at QB Colt Brennan and Hawaii when in travels to the mainland tonight to take on San Jose State on ESPN. However, the Heisman candidate might not get to show his stuff as he aggravated a right ankle injury in Hawaii's 52-37 home win over Utah State last week. Brennan's backup is no slouch however as Tyler Graunke, who had started for Brennan in Hawaii's 66-10 win over Charleston Southern on September 22, replaced him and threw for three third-quarter touchdowns and completed 9 of 11 passess for 246 yards. The Rainbows will be looking to go 7-0 for the first time in 29 years. Currently they are 6-0 SU and 2-2 ATS. San Jose State comes into this one at 3-3 SU and 3-2 ATS and are coming off a 28-20 win over Idaho last week that kept them a perfect 2-0 in the WAC. QB Adam Tafralis threw for 302 yards and two TDs while RB J.T. Callier rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. When these two teams met last year the Rainbows walked away with an easy
54-17 win at home making it their sixth straight victory in the series. Although Hawaii has won six in a row the last two games their margin of victory in their last two trips to San Jose was only 10 points. Overall, San Jose State is on a 9-2 ATS run overall and 8-1 ATS their L9 at home. However don't jump on San Jose so fast as Hawaii has improved its performance on the road lately posting a very profitable 9-3-1 ATS mark on the road over the L3 seasons. To sum it all up, San Jose just doesn't have a running game that can keep
Hawaii's offense off the field no matter who the quarterback. San Jose's current three game winning streak has come against bad teams. My Opinion: Hawaii to win this by at least 20.
