In the beginning of NFL Picks Championships it was a virtual lock that #1 seed would be hosting the NFL Picks Championship game as they did 21 of 26 times. However in the Last 12 NFL Picks games they have hosted only 5 (including this weeks NFL picks action).

With those changes it has changed the way to handicap the NFL Picks Championship games. Home teams are 22-14 SU and 17-18 ATS in the L36, however these NFL Picks games put a lot of points on the board with the over going 23-13 in the L36 NFL Picks games. If you want to stay even more recent since 2005 the Over is 11-1. Home field advantage has really been an NFL Picks advantage recently as the home team is 8-1 SU and 6-3 ATS the L9.

Additional ATS Trends;

In the AFC, road teams are 5-6 SU but 6-5 ATS in the last 11 years.

In the NFC, home field has been more important with NFL Picks as the home team is 5-1 SU & 4-2 ATS in the L6.

Overall, NFL picks favorites are 9-7 ATS in the last eight years with the AFC favorites going 6-2 ATS. In the NFC the last five NFL Picks Championship games have gone OVER the total with the home team averaging more than 30 points per game.

With all that said, if you want an NFL Picks that just goes on the recent trends it would suggest that the NFL Picks plays would be Chicago ATS and the over while the AFC NFL Picks trends would suggest Pittsburgh ATS
