Clemens is under investigation by a Federal Gran Jury to see if he lied about the MLB News use of steriods but now states that he has given a DNA sample to the investigators and that the syringes given to them by his former trainer, McNamee, would not link him to any performance enhancing drug use. In a statement, Clemens contends that...."It's impossible because he's never given me any."

For some reason Clemen's feels compelled to open up his mouth again, going on the offensive in light of the release of the book today. His latest apperance puts him back in the spotlight and could backfire on him with possibly being viewed as a slap in the face to the Federal Investigators. You would have thought he would have keep quiet as other MLB News stars (Alex Rodrigues and Manny Ramirez) removed him as the main focus of drug problems in Major League Baseball.

Clemens continues to speak to children about the use of drugs to enhance performance sticking to the position that he has never used them and that no one should think of using them to improve their performance. He, himself, states that his family has a history of hear problems and to use them would have put his life in danger.

But even with all of that said, there are few people who believe him even though he contends that he never used any type of performance enhancing drugs. So, if public opinion is any indication of how the Federal Investigators might veiw this issue we should see Roger Clemens on a witness stand near you!

It's too bad that he just can't keep his mouth shut!
