Not an official play, but I would rate the Under as a light lean tonight.

Two hot A.L. West starters take the mound in Anaheim when the Angels host the Athletics. Jered Weaver is 5-0 with a 1.23 ERA in five starts this season. The righty has given up just 6 runs and 19 hits in 36.7 innings of work. Weaver has held the Athletics down despite a 3-6 record in 15 career starts. The Under has cashed in 10 of those 15 starts. Mark Ellis (5-28), Coco Crisp (1-17), Hideki Matsui (2-10), David DeJesus (4-20), Daric Barton (6-26), Kevin Kouzmanoff (3-16) and Cliff Pennington (2-18) all struggle with the Angels’ starter. Oakland's offense has struggled this season hitting just under .240 as a team. They have scored just 17 runs over their last five games. The Angels’ bullpen has been awesome at home with an ERA right around 1.00.

Gio Gonzalez is also pitching well right now. The lefty is 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA in four starts. He has given up 5 runs and 20 hits in 25 innings of work this season. Gonzalez faced the Angels twice last season giving up 2 runs and 10 hits in 12 innings pitched. Bobby Abreu (0-11), Torii Hunter (2-13), Vernon Wells (1-6), Howard Kendrick (1-7) and Bobby Wilson (0-2) have poor numbers against the lefty. The Angels have scored just 5 runs in their last four games while getting swept at home by the Red Sox. Oakland's bullpen has been great on the road as well putting up an ERA below 2.00 away from home. This should be a pitcher's duel that results in a low-scoring game.
