Below is a free MLB play with analysis for Sunday afternoon:

BREWERS at REDS (Over 8, -105) – 1:15 pm ET #901-902

Not an official play, but I would rate the Over as a light lean this afternoon.

Cincinnati's decision to make Edinson Volquez their first game starter of the NLDS puts Aaron Harang in at starter for today’s game against the Brewers. Harang has faced the Brewers twice this season giving up six runs and 14 hits in just six innings of work. The righty hasn't pitched since taking one off the ankle on September 22nd against Milwaukee. The righty is 6-7 with a 5.25 ERA in 19 starts. A multitude of Brewers hitters hit Harang well including Prince Fielder (13-39), Craig Counsell (13-37), Rickie Weeks (11-35), Corey Hart (7-22), Ryan Braun (6-21), Casey McGehee (3-7), Joe Inglett (2-2), and Lorenzo Cain (2-2). The Brewers have scored four runs or more in three straight games and in four of their last five games overall. The team's offense is hitting .265 on the road and .261 in the daytime. They have gone Over the total in 34 of their 55 day games.

Randy Wolf has been pitching well for the Brewers. He's 13-11 with a 4.18 ERA in 33 starts. The lefty is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three starts against the Reds. Cincinnati has smacked out 17 hits in 18 innings against the lefty. Orlando Cabrera (13-47), Joey Votto (5-16), Scott Rolen (4-15), Brandon Phillips (4-14), Jay Bruce (5-14), Jonny Gomes (8-13), Paul Janish (3-10), and Chris Valaika (2-4) all hit Wolf well. Dusty Baker has said that Votto and Rolen will both start on Sunday after getting the day off on Saturday. The Reds are averaging almost five runs per game at home. They'll face a Milwaukee bullpen that squandered a lead on Saturday against a half- strength Reds lineup and has been poor all season away from home. We expect a high-scoring game this afternoon between the Brewers and Reds.
