The Cardinals continued their hot offensive run on Monday by putting up 10 hits or more for the fourth straight game and for the fifth time in their last six games. Now they'll face Brett Myers who has scuffled this season. Myers is 3-10 with a 4.74 ERA in 21 starts. He has given up 11 runs and 17 hits in his last 17.3 innings pitched. Myers gave up 5 runs and six hits in six innings pitched against the Cardinals in June. Albert Pujols (15-44), Matt Holliday (7-20) and Skip Schumaker (9-26) hit Myers well. The Cardinals are hitting almost .270 in their last eight games. They'll face an Astros’ bullpen that has been a disaster at times blowing seven saves and losing eight games on the road.

Jake Westbrook makes his 21st start of the season. The righty is 8-4 with a 5.04 ERA and 12 Overs. He has struggled terribly at home going 2-2 with an ERA near 7.00 in nine starts. Westbrook allowed 3 runs and eight hits in 5.3 innings pitched to the Astros earlier this season. Carlos Lee (15-36), Hunter Pence (5-8), Brett Wallace (5-7) and J.R. Towles (1-3) all hit the Cardinals’ starter well. The Astros are hitting nearly .280 in their last eight games. They are hitting over .260 against the rest of the N.L. Central this season. The Cardinals’ bullpen has lost 19 games and they’ve blown 16 saves. These two teams have played six Overs in their last nine meetings this season and we expect that trend to continue tonight.
