Not only has the NFL Preseason started but footabll junkies will soon have College Football to add to their schedule. The NCAAF has several games on the docket starting just 15 days from today. Just like the NFL there are a number of opportunites to take advantage of when properly researched and analysized. I have reviewed these early games and have listed some of the more important trends along with my early recommendations. Keep in mind that situations could change as we approach game time but these selections will give you a good start to the College Football Season. August 30 Miami (Ohio) at Ball State: The visitor in this series is 4-0 SU and ATS but Miami (Ohio) is only 0-3 in game one of the season. Ball State is 14-5 ATS L19 versus MAC opponents but only 1-7 SU in Game one. Kent State at Iowa State: Kent State is 4-1 ATS as a non conference dog of less than 15 points but only 2-6 ATS in game one of the season. Iowa State is 7-1 ATS and 5-3 ATS versus MAC opponents but only 4-8 ATS in game one. Tulsa at LA Monroe: Tulsa is 3-0 SU and ATS versus Sun Belt opponents but only 1-10 ATS in their 1st road game. LA Monroe is 1-6 SU in Game one and 1-5 SU and ATS versus CUSA opponents. LUS at MISSISSIPPI State: LSU is 5-1 in conference road openers and 8-4 as a favorite in game one. Mississippi State is 1-9 L10 including 0-7 ATS at home and only 1-4 in their first game. Recommendation: Take LSU Utah at Oregon State: Utah is 11-4 ATS as a road dog of greater than 3 points and 16-5-1 ATS as a dog versus PAC-10 opponents. Oregon State is 3-0 versus MWC opponents and 2-5 ATS in game one. Buffalo at Rutgers: Buffalo is 2-8 ATS versus Big East opponents and only 1-4-1 ATS in game one.
