As the College Football season draws to a close most of the attention for teams focuses on either getting or maintaining Bowl eligibility. It's especially true of teams that go into this weekend unbeaten as the pressure is on to remain that way since it could spell the difference between a BCS Bowl or an "also ran" Bowl birth. What's most improtant to the bettor however is not whether or not these teams remain unbeaten but how do they perform against the number when the heat is on? So, let's take a look and see what trends and/or angles have been profitable.

Well known is the fact that home teams in college football certainly have an advantage as the crowd can get a team psyched for the game much more than in the NFL. However, what about those unbeaten teams who have the heat on to remain that way but have to play on the road. Now we're taking because teams playing on the road from game 10 or later in the season are a bankroll draining 37-55-1 ATS. If these same teams are in the unfortunate position of playing against a conference opponent they become even more of a problem as they are only 27-41-1 ATS in this situation.

Certainly some profitable "go against" numbers but how about if this teams conference opponent is off a SU and ATS win in their last game? Now we really have a profitable opportunity as these teams are 8-22-1 ATS. Now, since it's a conference game these two teams more than likely played eachother last year. If they just happened to defeat this week’s opponent last season then it's a huge opportunity as these teams are a bankrupt 4-16-1 ATS.

So check the schedule this week and you will find this unbeaten team who just can't handle the pressure of remaining that way and beating the number. Hint: It's a Big-12 matchup.

As usual, good luck this week. Join Michael as he continues to beat the books on not only the grid iron but the NHL, NBA, and NCAAB at Alexandersports.
