Will the real Top Ranked Team please stand up! Once again, it proved to be deadly to be a BCS ranked #1 or #2 team as the mighty Oregon Ducks fell to Arizona last night! It goes without saying that this season has been a challenge for not only the teams but the uninformed prognosticators. The one constant that you can count on is that sticking to a formula can and will produce profits during this topsy, turvy season. It is with that premise that I once again focus on the top trends during this weeks NCAAF action. Over the last two weeks these top angles have produced a solid 4-2 ATS mark.

Top Trend #1: Playing against road underdogs in a game after allowing 17 points or more in the first half in 2 straight games versus an opponent who won their last game by 17 or more points is 46-12 (79.3%) ATS over the last 5 seasons. Jumping on board this season would have given you an 11-3 ATS mark, a 25-7 ATS mark the L3 seasons, and a 79-35 ATS mark the L10.

Top Trend #2: Playing on a team who has a defense that allows 35 or more points per game but are coming off a win by 21 or more points is 34-7 (82.9%) ATS over the last 10 seasonsn. Play this angle would have produced a perfect 6-0 ATS mark this season, an 11-1 ATS mark the L3 seasons, and a 20-3 ATS mark the L5.

Top Trend #3: Playing on a team who is off a blowout loss by 21 points or more to a conference rival and has won between 60%-80% of their games this season and are playing a team with a losing record is 45-13 (77.6%) over the last 10 seasons. Riding this angle would have produced a 2-1 ATS mark this season, 11-3 ATS mark the L3 seasons, and a 25-7 ATS mark the L5.

Good Luck this week! Visit Alexandersports this weekend as Michael Alexander has his NCAAF Game of the Year on tap in the Ohio State/Michigan contest.
