After an injury plagued year of NFL Picks in Washington, Jason Taylor, decided that it was best to take his dancing show back to Miami. Taylora $1.5 million, one-year contract yesterday with the Miami Dolphins. Taylor is being reunited with a team that he played and NFL Picks 11 seasons. At first blush it appeared that Taylor was going to go to the Patriots but he did a "two step" past them and back to the Dolphins. When asked why he'd pass up a chance with the Patriots he responded...."My heart has always been in Miami, and so I'm truly excited to call myself a Dolphin once again," ......... "I was presented with a number of different opportunities, but in the end the combination of this being the best situation for my family, my love for this community and my tremendous loyalty to a great organization made this an easy decision."

To get to the Dolphins, Taylor turned down an offer of $8.5 million. Taylor didn't like being away from his wife and three children last season and wanted to rejoin the Dolphins regardless of how much money they offered, said his agent, Gary Wichard. Apparently he also got on the better side of Bill Parcells who was extremely upset last year when he opted to be in Hollywood rather than working out with teammates during the NFL Picks off season. Even with the turn around the Dolphins and Parcells were able to orchastrate last season they had a putrid pass rush. The combination of Taylor (who has 120 1/2 career sacks) and LB Joey Porter (led the AFC last season with 17 1/2 sack) should fix that issue. Obviouslly Parcells had Taylor in his sights as he didn't draft an pass rusher in the NFL Picks draft. The addition of Taylor should improve their NFL Odds of getting back to the playoffs.
