Throughout the course of any season, regardless of the sport, there are teams at any given point in time that put themselves in "must win" situations. It is that point in the season where if losses continue then a team can pretty much write off the rest of the season. When we look at this week in the NFL there are a number of teams who are 1-3 and going to 1-4 would just about put them out of playoff consideration. So, as with any betting proposition, are the profitable opportunities presented with this "win now or forget it" teams? Let's take a look:

Profit Situation #1: Since 1980 any team who comes into week #5 of the season at 1-3 and lost their previous game is a very profitable 89-58-5 ATS.

Profit Situation #2: If you look at these same teams and put them against an opponent who is coming off a win last week then our profit opportunity jumps to 52-21-3 ATS.

Profit Situation #3: Combine this "loser" with the above profit makers and install them as a favorite or dog of less then 7 points we zoom to a mark of 49-13-3 ATS (71%).

Profit Situation #4: In the final tweak of our situation put this team against a divisional opponent combined with all of the above and you zoom your profits to an unbelievalbe 20-1 ATS!

This weeks top profit maker that "needs to win"? The Chicago Bears over Green Bay.
