The general public has a propensity to focus on big games during the College Football season when trying to figure out where to plop their hard earned money. Certainly that approach creates excitement for the bettor but for the most part doesn't help their bank account since those are the games where the odds makers focus. I am not saying that there aren't times when there is still value with the "big games" but more opportunities present themselves with the "perimeter" games. So, it is with that thought process where I focus my efforts for this weeks final full weekend of College Football action. I decided to take a look at teams who only won 2 or less games last year, showed improvement over last season but not enough to make a Bowl game this year. Pouring through the statistics and adding a few qualifiers I did uncover some profitable opportunites for this week;

Let's take these teams and put them on the road with no rest and make it their final game of the season while putting them up against an opponent who hasn't hit the .500 record mark this year. Low and behold we have a profit opportunity as these teams have produced a 35-21 ATS record since 1980.

Not to rest here, let's have both these teams put out some pretty lousy defenses on the field. Specifically where our play on team allows 34 or less points per game and is playing a team who allows more than 27 points per game. Now we're cooking as this has produced an even more profitable 18-7 ATS mark.

Digging a bit deeper let's add to the above the fact that the opponent in this contest didn't win two games ago by over 10 points. This one is where we need to be as it ends up a sparkling 18-4 ATS.

Teams to Watch: The teams to watch this week who will be looking to end the season on a positive note after making good improvements over last season are Buffalo and Temple

Good Luck in this Final Full Weekend of College Action. Michael Alexander has heated up with his Grid Iron selections and has a full slate of GUARANTEED winners again this week at Alexandersports.
