There is always the prevailing thoughts that teams who play on the road in any given sport are a huge disadvantage. Certainly this has some merit as anyone who has had to travel and live out of a suit case can attest that you just aren't the same as if you were at home. I am sure that we can all agree that the affects of being on the road are tiring and unappealing, but the question is can be increase our bankroll betting on these road warriors. Before I go any further, for the purposes of this article, my definition of a road warrior is any college football team who is playing their fifth road game in their 7th game of the season. In other words, they have only been on their home turf twice thus far. Looking at this weeks card we have three teams who will be playing their 5th road game out of their 7 total contests. They are Bowling Green, Florida International and North Texas. But, before we go placing our bets let's take a look at what we need to do this week with these three schools. Since 1980 teams who have been playing their 5th road game out of 7 total have drained bankrolls going 41-55-1 ATS. So, off the bat, the plays here would be to go against these teams. Now, what if these teams are playing a team who is coming off a win in their last game? Teams stuck on the road playing in this role are an even worse 15-31 ATS. The go against team here is North Texas. Let's have this road warrior be a team who's defense is a bit porous, giving up at least 21.5 points per game. We have even a stronger play against as the mark goes to 8-24 ATS. Again, the play against here is North Texas. One last clarifier: Have this opponent have a winning percentage of at least 60% with the above qualifiers and VIOLA....you have a Winner! The Play This Week: Go AGAINST North Texas Good luck this week as always! Over the last two weeks Michael is a perfect 4-0 with his week night games.
