Saturday College Bowl Trends, Angles, and Picks....

The regular season of the College Football season has concluded and Saturday begins the Bowl season. Although the pundits have been agruing with regularity about instituting a playoff structure to settle the latest BCS controversy, the fact it that probably not in my lieftime will this happen. So instead of sitting here sulking about that possibility, the mission now is to lock in some profits with the games that are on tap. While Saturday's games don't arouse a lot of excitement, none the less there are still some opportunities to make some money with our Bowl Picks. So without further diatribe, below are Saturday's College Bowl Trends, Angles, and Picks:

EagleBank Bowl

Navy is 4-0 ATS in bowl games the L4 years and 24-6 SU away or on neutral ground as a dog off a win while Wake Forest is 6-12 ATS as non a conference favorite including 1-6 versus an opponent off a SU win. Recommendation: Navy

New Mexico Bowl

Fresno State is 0-8 ATS as a favorite their L8 bowl games including L7 SU losses while Colorado St is 14-3 SU and 13-3 ATS with rest versus a WAC opponent. Recommendation: Colorado State

St. Petersburgh Bowl

Memphis is 16-8-1 a double digit dog while South Florida is 1-3 ATS vs C-USA a opponent in a bowl game. Recommendation: Memphis

Las Vegas Bowl

Byu is 5-0 as a dog of less than 10 pts when off a SU loss versus a Pac 10 opponent while teams listed as a favorite in their first bowl game (Arizona) are 8-17 off a win of more than 7 points. Recommentation: BYU
