NFL Oddities

Tim Tebow has won 83% (5-1) of his starts this season; the second highest of any QB with multiple starts this year – Aaron Rodgers 100% (11-0). Arizona rookie Patrick Peterson has 4 punt returns for touchdowns. Raiders’ kicker Sebastian Janikowski accounted for 19 of Oakland’s 25 points (6 FG’s and 1 extra point) versus Chicago. Arizona’s RB Beanie Wells ran for 228 yards; the most in the Cardinals’ 92-year history.

Lions Roar Back

The Detroit Lions have come back to earth recently after a torrid start. The Lions were tamed by the Packers on Thanksgiving and now face the Saints this Sunday night. Detroit has had their share of double digit losses over the years, but they’ve responded extremely well with a 23-10 ATS (69.7%) in their next game. Meanwhile, New Orleans is just 14-29 ATS (32.6%) in their last 43 December games.

Just Win and Cover in the NFL

NFL teams that won straight-up went 10-4-1 (71.4%) ATS last week. That brings the season total to 140-26-8 (84.3%) ATS for NFL teams that win outright. Learn to pick straight-up winners and you will win the majority of your bets in the NFL.
