Following victories last week, the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans look to keep their slim NFL Picks playoff hopes alive when they meet Thursday night in Week 14 action. Denver comes into this game 6-7 SU and are two games behind AFC West-leading San Diego with three to go. A loss this week and a Chargers win would eliminate Denver from the division race. Denver is coming off a huge 41-7 win over Kansas City as QB Jay Cutler completed 20-of-27 passes for 244 yards, a career-high four touchdowns and a career-best passer rating of 141.0. The Broncos also got good production out of their running game as RB Selvin Young rushed for a career-high 156 yards on 17 carries becoming the sixth undrafted rookie in league history to top 500 yards rushing. But it will be a tougher go on the ground this week as Denver will be facing a Houston run defense that has allowed just 118 yards in its last two home games.

The Texans come into this contest with an identical 6-7 SU mark and are out of the AFC South chase, but like the Broncos, still have a remote chance of a wild-card spot. Both Denver and Houston are two games behind Cleveland for the AFC's final wild-card spot, but are also a game back of Buffalo and Tennessee. The Texans are coming off an improbable win over Tampa Bay as they had to rely on a rookie running back and backup quarterback. Backup QB Sage Rosenfels completed 27-of-36 for 209 yards with three touchdowns in his second start of the season for Houston. Undrafted rookie running back Darius Walker rushed for 46 yards on 16 carries and had 35 yards receiving in his first NFL game.

The Texans have done well at home this season as they are 4-2 SU & ATS at home. In contrast Denver has struggled on the road going only 2-4 SU & 1-5 ATS this season. Houston comes in with an offense completing 66.3% of it passes and historically that has been a problem for Denver as they are 0-7 ATS in their L7 versus teams who complete better than 64% of their passes.

It’s a must win for both teams and only one will come out the victor! But who will it be?
