Blindly betting on favorites can be the death for any bankroll since the odds makers tend to make you "pay the price" for taking, what seems, to be a sure winner. Taking on the perennial favorites can easily translate into a 75% winning percentage just to break even.
Obviously, you have to be careful when taking on heavy favorites, but there are teams this season that if you took them would have padded your bankroll quite nicely. Being careful with these teams is always prudent but they can't be ignored, especially when you catch some of the "lower tier teams (i.e. Philadelphia) as favorites.
